Studio Policies & Etiquette

RISE Dance Center is founded on the belief that quality dance instruction provided in an inspirational and encouraging environment are the keys to a successful and fun experience exploring the arts. We seek to show respect and grace and ask you and your children to do the same.

Below are a few simple policies regarding class etiquette for our DANCERS

  • Please refrain from talking while in class - especially while your teacher is speaking.

  • Please do not bring food or drinks into the studio (they are allowed in the common and lobby areas). Water bottles are the ONLY drinks allowed in class.

  • No cell phones or electronic devices are allowed in the studios.

  • Please do not pull up on or hang from the ballet barres or touch the mirrors. Barres are for balance and support only.

  • Please do not ask to leave class or leave the class without first receiving permission from the teacher. Should a student need to leave before class ends, please notify the teacher before class begins.

  • Please allow for appropriate restroom use PRIOR to class.  Very young children will be treated sensitively as the need arises.

  • Come prepared to dance!

Policy reminders for PARENTS:

  • Please do not enter the classroom while a class is in session.

  • Please ask the Director or your child's teacher about your child's progress or behavior. We welcome the time to meet with you to discuss any questions or concerns.

  • Should your child have any in-class behavioral issues, you will be notified immediately.

  • If a child acts out in class in a manner that is harmful to him/herself or others, that child may be removed from class and parents will be notified immediately.

  • Children may be dropped from a class if their behavior interferes with safety or is chronically disruptive. We may recommend that your child be moved to a more appropriate class level.

  • Please note the television viewing screen will be turned on the last week of every month to see your child's progress in class. We appreciate your consideration in this matter.

We would love to speak with you about your child's dance education. Email the Director at to set up a time to meet.
